You need to take the ACT or SAT if you plan on going to college or receiving any type of scholarship. You can register online or there is information in the auditorium for you to mail in registration. There are study guides available in the auditorium or on the test website.

If you plan on going to college, you need to register and take the THEA (a college placement exam). You must pass all sections to be in college level classes. To be in college level math, you must score a 270 on the math section. There will be more test dates available. This is the only test date on the website right now. You may be exempt from THEA based on your exit level TAKS, SAT or ACT. See Mrs. Fuchs for more details.

If you plan on attending a college/university in Texas, you can apply using the Apply Texas Website. It is one application that you can use to send to multiple schools. There are paper copies in the auditorium, but you must fill it out online.
FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid)www.fafsa.ed.gov/
If you plan on applying for financial aid, beginning in January 2012, you and your parents need to fill out the FAFSA. You must use yours (if you received any W2s) and your parent’s 2011 tax information.
You and one parent need to apply for a PIN now. It is used for your signature online. Keep it in a safe place. The website to apply is:
