Students recognize, evaluate, and prepare for a rapidly evolving global business environment that requires flexibility and adaptability. Students implement personal and interpersonal skills to strengthen individual performance in the workplace and in society and make a successful transition to the workforce or postsecondary education. Students apply technical skills to address business applications of emerging technologies, create complex word-processing documents, develop sophisticated spreadsheets using charts and graphs, and make an electronic presentation using appropriate multimedia software. Students enhance reading, writing, computing, communications, and reasoning skills and apply them to the business environment. Students have the possibility of getting six college credits at Blinn College, as this class is technical dual credit. Students also have the possibility of gaining the industry recognized Microsoft Certified Application Specialist certification in Word 2007. |
