The first 2 pages of your journal should be dedicated as an index. The following should be your headings.

Each 6 weeks students are expected to complete 6 article summaries. Three articles from an internet source and 3 from a written resource(ie. newspaper, magazine). I want you to look for science in our everyday lives. I do not want a copy of any of the articles, I want an hand written summary of each article. At the bottom of each summary you must write a bibliography using the MLA format.(found on Mrs. Cox website) Only one summary per page. This will be taken as a grade and is due the Monday of the last week of each 6 weeks period.

Labs for the most part will be completed in class. There may be an opportunity for students to complete some lab projects outside of the classroom. For labs that will be completed during class time student will receive a lab sheet if they are not then they will be expected to complete the lab in thier journal. Labs will include the following information: Question, Hypothesis, Materials, Procedure, Data, and Analysis/Conclusion.
