Welcome to the Burton ISD Library. Every class at Burton Elementary comes to the library once a week. Junior High and High School students come as scheduled by their Language Arts teacher and are scheduled during their PALs period. Students will be able to check out either 1 or 2 books according to teacher preferences. The Elementary campus is a part of the Accelerated Reader program and all students are able to read and test for points to be redeemed at the AR store. I have been a part of the Burton ISD staff for 26 years. I am the library aide for the district. My husband, Ronnie, is retired from LCRA. He is currently a real estate agent with Market Realty and is Chief of the Burton Volunteer Fire Department.We have 2 children, Elizabeth and Jared, both graduates of Burton High School. Elizabeth is also a graduate of Sam Houston State University with a Bachelor of Science degree. She is a certified teacher of students PK - 6 with a minor in Special Education grades PK -12. She is currently one of the Fifth Grade teachers at Burton Elementary. Jared is a student at the Blinn College AW Hodde Technical Education Center and a member of the Burton Volunteer Fire Department.
