Welcome to the 2011-2012 school year. Tile 1 Reading helps students master skills taught in the classroom. Please help your child learn skills as they are introduced in the classroom. If your child has trouble learning a skill, contact your classroom teacher so arrangements can be made for your child to receive additional help.
Title 1 Reading is available to students who need extra help. Students work on skills they need to master.

Welcome to First Grade! Students in First Grade are learning so many basics which are the foundations for reading and math. Please help your child learn skills as they are introduced.
Skills your child will be required to learn include:
1. Sight word through third
grade words,
2. Reading Fluency
3. Beginning Spelling Patterns
4. Beginning Math Concepts
Work with your child on a daily basis to master skills. If your child has difficulty mastering skills, please contact the classroom teacher for suggestions on how to help your child.

Welcome to Second Grade!
Help your child be successful!!!
1. Students need to continue building reading skills. Help your child by reading with him or her. Ask questions to check for comprehension. Who, What, Where, When, How, and Why are good questions to ask.
2. Help your child learn new spelling rules and patterns.
3. Ask your child questions about Math work. Review previous day's work.
If your child has trouble mastering skills, check with your child's classroom teacher for tips to help.
